8 Great Tuesdays August 22, 2023

Every summer for many years the Erie Western Pennsylvania Port Authority has sponsored concerts on Erie's waterfront at Liberty Pier except for 2020 when the concerts were cancelled due to te co-vid pandemic. This year during the August 22nd concert the SONS of Lake Erie participated in the event by offering a free hands on family fishing opportunity. Twenty five of our volunteers provided equipment, bait and their personal expertise to over 150 men, women and children who chose to participate. The US Air Force Jazz ensemble provided an evening of great music on an absolutely beautiful summer evening. There were fish of many sizes and species caught including yellow perch,  blue gills, bass and round gobies. It was great fun watching the excitement of the children who participated some adults too.
