Discover Presque Isle Family Fishing Clinic |

On Saturday July 27, 2024 sixteen S.O.N.S.
of Lake Erie volunteers conducted a Pennsylvania Fish and Boat
Commission Sanctioned Family Fishing Clinic as part of the Discover
Presque Isle celebration. We estimate that 90 adults and 110 children came onto the fishing
platform located on Waterworks pond on Presque Isle State Park. All of
these visitors were invited to try their hand at fishing under the
experienced guidance of the S.O.N.S. volunteers. The weather was sunny and
beautiful and nearly all of the participants caught fish, mostly
bluegills. The S.O.N.S. of Lake
Erie has participated in the Discover Presque Isle event every year
since the celebration began 30 years ago.
