McDowell High School has added a Conservation Science to its curriculum. We received a request from Brian DiLuzio class teacher for a little help with the program. Four of our volunteers went to McDowell HS on  May 5th and helped the students to learn the handling and safety of casting rods.

On Monday May 11th 17 more of our volunteers joined with twenty four McDowell students and gave them some hands on fishing experience at the East Waterworks pond on Presque Isle State park. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and as a bonus a lot of the students caught fish. There were brown trout, blue gills, crappies and large bass reeled in.
