 Immigrant Students Summer Program 2022

On Wednesday June 29, 2022 approx. 90 student participants from the Northwest Tri County Intermediate Unit summer education program arrived at the East Waterworks pond on Presque Isle State Park for a break from books and some outdoor fun. All of the students are recent immigrants to the United States. Even though their English skills are still developing we were able to help them learn fishing skills and how to have fun with the sport. The students ranged in age from Kindergarten to 8th grade. (A special thanks to SONS volunteer Tom Pruzenski for producing these great photos of the event)
