HARBORCREEK KIDS FISHING

For the last 9 years the  SONS of Lake Erie has partnered with the Harborcreek Township Recreation Department and the Wesleyville Conservation Club to put together a fishing opportunity for kids. The township provides the location, This year the event was held at Mac Quarie's pond at Harborcreek Community Park. The Wesleyville Conservation Club stocked 200 brown trout and the SONS provided the equipment and bait. The weather was sunny and cool  and  the trout were not as cooperative. Only a few of the  kids  caught trout but there were some bullheads and blue gills caught. Over 100 individuals came out for the fun.
