S.O.N.S., CENTRAL TECH KIDS BUILD HABITAT
Thursday, October 1, 2015 twenty five S.O.N.S. Volunteers, sixteen
students from Central Tech High, two teachers and a high lift and driver
from PISP acting under the supervision of two members of the PFBC’s fish
habitat crew assembled 19 porcupine structures. The structures were placed
in Presque Isle Bay along the same plane as the others that were placed
two years ago. An updated map and GPS coordinates will be a published when
it is available.
was a great experience to work with the kids from Tech. They worked hard,
side by side with our volunteers. The project took less than three hours
to complete. It was followed with a hot dog picnic lunch prepared by our
project was organized by Dave Boughton from PA Sea Grant and the $1000.00
material cost was sponsored by the S.O.N.S.
